With langify you can translate into up to 20 languages.

With your base language that amounts to 21 languages in total.

Yes, hreflang tags are added automatically to your store pages the moment you publish your translation language and assign it to a market.
Hreflangs tags are optimized for SEO, and added based on your Shopify Markets settings.

How do I publish langify?

To publish langify, go to langify > Dashboard > Theme Settings. You'll be redirected to the App Embeds section in Shopify's Theme Customizer, where you can enable langify on your theme.

Where can I translate my announcement bar?

The announcement bar can be translated under langify > Online Store > Theme > Section.
When unavailable there, you can add and translate its text from langify > Custom.

Can I translate the checkout with langify?

Yes, you can translate your checkout with langify.

If you want to add or edit translations for the checkout, this can be done in langify at Online Store > Theme > Shopify.

For the most common languages, Shopify offers checkout translations out of the box.

Where can I translate my store policies?

You can translate your store policies under langify > General > Shop > Legals.


If using machine translation, be aware that it may be inaccurate and could alter the intended legal meaning. We recommend having a qualified person review the translations before publishing.

How can I export/import my translations?

Most content can be exported and imported directly within each section in langify. Simply navigate to the desired section and select Export or Import from the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.


An export/import for metafields is currently only available for products.

How do I preview my languages in langify?

To preview an unpublished language, go to Shopify > Settings > Languages. Click on the ••• icon next to the language and choose the Preview option.

Which languages does langify support for machine-translation?

Generally, langify supports the translation into all the languages available in Shopify. For machine translations, langify uses DeepL for most languages, with Google Cloud Translation as a fallback for languages DeepL doesn't support.

Does langify use google translate for machine-translations?

Langify uses DeepL as main engine for machine-translations. For languages unavailable in DeepL, langify will use Google Translate (Cloud Translation) instead.
Both services use AI-driven translations to deliver optimized results.

Can I use langify for testing purposes?

Langify is available for free on Shopify development stores, with all features of the langify Basic plan included. After installing langify, simply reach out to us at support@langify-app.com with your myshopify URL and we'll enable it for you.
