Before adding the language switcher, you need to publish your translations. This step-by-step tutorial shows how to publish your translations either via wizard or manually.




Publish your language(s) using the wizard


Step 1

Click "Publish your translations" in the upper right corner in langify to display the wizard.



The wizard will be displayed by clicking the "Publish Your Translation" green button on the top right of langify main menu



Step 2

Click "Start Guide" to start the wizard.

The first screen shows various information and a "Start Guide" blue button to continue, or a black "Cancel" button to go back



Step 3
Select the language(s) that you want to publish and click "Continue To Next Step". 

The second screen will allow the user to select the languages they want to publish



Step 4
Select the theme(s) that you want to publish and click "Continue To Next Step". 



The third screen allows the user to select the theme they want to publish





Publish your language(s) manually


Step 1

To manually publish your language(s) navigate to the "Languages" section (http://langify-app.com/settings/languages) and click "publish" next to the language that you want to publish.


 

After you have published a language, you can un-publish it again by clicking "un-publish" next to the language that you want to un-publish.

Note that only the published languages can be selected by your customers.



Languages can be published from "Langify -> Languages", there the user can click on "publish" to publish, otherwise an "un-publish" button will appear to unpublish them





Step 2



To manually publish your theme(s) navigate to the "Theme Settings" section (http://langify-app.com/settings/themes) and click "create a new theme with langify code" next to the theme you would like to publish your translations for.


After you have published a theme for translations, you can un-publish it again by clicking "create a new theme without langify code" next to the theme that you want to un-publish.

Note that only the published themes are able to display your translations.



After publishing your translations you can insert the language switcher

Open your theme.liquid in the shopify Template Editor and insert the following snippet wherever you want the language switcher to be displayed.
