Here's a number of tips and recommendations before using Langify:
1) Please note, that Langify should not be opened in multiple tabs on the same browser and with different translated languages when translating your contents.
Doing so, will prompt Langify to provide mixed translations.
In short, it would be recommended to translate one language at a time from one window in order to avoid any issues.
2) About auto-translations:
Please note, that Langify will NOT translate anything on its own, translations will always require the customer's consent, so by either click on the green auto-translate button available with the Basic plan onward, or the Bulk translate option available with the Growth plan onward.
Updating your original contents will NOT auto-translate your contents either.
3) Deleting your old contents in Shopify first is not suggested:
We take the chance to warn that some sections require the customer to first remove the translation, before deleting your original content in Shopify, otherwise Langify will keep the outdated translation.
We are specifically referring to the Theme section.
In case you accidentally delete the original content without removing the translation in Langify first, then please:
A) Go back in Shopify, and please resume the deleted content.
B) Go in Langify, find the outdated translation, and then please remove it.
4) When updating your theme, your THEME -> SECTION's translations will disappear.
Why?
It's because the structure of the home-page will change once the theme is updated, Langify can't see this change, and hence the translation from that section specifically will not be saved.
Please, simply export your contents from the Theme -> Section in CSV format from the outdated theme, and then import them in the new theme.
We have especially made guides that show how to export and import your contents.
This is NOT a Langify issue.
