The Custom Content Feature allows you to translate content that you are not able to translate using the regular Theme Translations.

There are a few restrictions to make sure the Custom Content translations do not break your site:

- the original content must be enclosed by quotes or tags

- the original content must not contain leading or trailing spaces and must not contain any newline characters.

- Custom Content is case sensitive

Here are some working examples:

Original Content: Some text

Custom Content: Some text

Original Content: "Some text"

Custom Content: Some text

Here are some examples that won't necessarily work:

Original Content: Some text

Custom Content: Some text (won't necessarily work because of the leading space)

Original Content: Some text

Custom Content: "Some text " (won't necessarily work because of the the trailing space)

Original Content: "some text"

Custom Content: "Some text" (won't necessarily work because of the case sensitivity)

With these restrictions in mind, here is how to add and translate Custom Content:

Step 1

Click "Add new custom content" in the "Translations / Custom" section.

Step 2

Enter the content you'd like to translate.

Step 3

Click "Create".

Step 4

Translate the newly created content like you do with any other content.

Good luck!
