Use our language switcher configurator to easily add a languages switcher to your shop.
You start with the
1. general switcher alignment (top, bottom, right, left);
2. then set the positioning (fixed, absolute, custom);
3. adjust the appearance (language name <> ISO code, Flag icons, transparent, dark-theme; Spacing)
4. choose switcher type (custom drop-down, native drop-down, links, link-list; none=hide switcher)
You can create different breakpoints for the configuration and thus different configurations for different screen resolutions or devices.
Custom Dropdown - our langify default HTML Switcher. There is the Switcher optimized for dark or bright themes. The switcher can show the flags as well as the name or ISO code of the language.
Native Dropdown - a native implementation of the html SelectBox. Especially well suited for mobile browsers, as these are rendered very quickly by the browser and the native selection is left to the system on which the store is displayed.
Links - All languages are displayed next to each other as links. (Horizontal alignment of languages)
Links List - The languages are displayed as links in an HTML list. You can then style these separately using Custom CSS. (Vertical alignment of languages)
None - The switcher is not displayed at all in the current breakpoint..
Show language name - If this option is activated, the name of the language is displayed in the Switcher.
Show ISO code - If this option is activated, the ISO code of the language is displayed in the Switcher. You can enable both name and ISO code, but that would be duplicate information, so we recommend selecting either ISO or Name.
Show flag icons - If this option is enabled, the flags of the country will be displayed next to the language. Flags can only be displayed if name and ISO are disabled.
Dark theme - Switcher optimized for dark themes with light background and dark text color
Transparent - Transparent switcher that has no background. If you have a Dark Theme, deactivate the Dark Theme option, as the switcher will otherwise have a dark text color.
Spacing - With the help of the shop preview you have the possibility to move the switcher very comfortably to a position you like best.
Horizontal - You can move the Switcher horizontally
Vertical - You can move the Switcher Vertically
Fixed - The switcher is fixed at the position in the browser. Even if the customer scrolls, the switcher remains in place.
Absolute - The switcher is positioned absolute on the side, but if the customer scrolls, the switcher also scrolls.
Custom - You can place the Switcher anywhere in the theme, creating an HTML tag that you can place in your theme. Langify will then insert the switcher at this location.
You can use it to determine a general alignment of the switch.
Top Left - If you want the Switcher to appear in the top left corner of the store
Top Right - If you want the Switcher to appear in the upper right corner of the store
Bottom Left - If you want the switcher to appear in the bottom left corner
Bottom Right - If you want the switcher to appear in the bottom right corner
